    ... find the beautiful pond at the foot of the hill leading to the castle. Martin explained that the government had decided to drain the pond a couple years ago. Curious. We joined a bunch of other old people who spoke English for our hour tour. Upon entering you are led up several corridors with stairs lined with mounted deer antlers, hundreds of them.     I got Donny and Mel up at seven am, then went back to bed for two hours. I was still practising sleeping. I'd kind of forgotten how to sleep long over the previous six months. Anyway, Donny and Mel had gone to the summer camp by the time I finally got up, so I spent the morning helping Ivana and Viktoria make small plastic flowers from coloured duct tape, and waiting for the washing to finish.

    We now have 5 days riding and 4 overnight stays before we get to Assen for the MotoGP on Saturday 29th June. We tried to plot a route but everywhere we thought of for a day's destination seemed to be either too far or too close to ride! After much map searching and Tom Tom route planning, we made some decisions.

    ... in Prague. Well we were still there, but did not see or hear anything and until we got to our next destination, really had no idea what happened accept there was an explosion. Our next stop was to Kunta Hora to the Bone Church. This is a church that has the bones of an estimated 40,000 people artfully arranged inside.     The people in small town Czech Republic are not rich. The two towns I visit may not be good representations of how all are in the Czech Republic, but they are poor and not well kept. The people seem to be less healthy as well, lots of smoking and many amputees roaming the streets. A very sad picture indeed. Buildings are falling apart ...
