... this really cool little place, filled with couches and amazing lamps hung up everywhere, and packed with locals, not tourists, all drinking tea and smoking hookahs (or nargiles, as they're called here). We ordered some apple tea and an apple flavored nargile, and chilled out having a smoke and drinking our tea and having a really good chat and a laugh with Dan and Mindy. ... a bunch of different sections and exhibitions. It was interesting to visit, and I liked the domed rooms and mosaics everywhere. However, not as awe-inspiring as other palaces I've seen. After taking some last time to soak in the sights of historic Istanbul while relaxing at a roof top restaurant, Nathan and I headed to another soccer game. With a pretty big, mostly Turkish crowd we watched Spain beat France 2-1. The next morning ...
Overall I had an amazing time in Turkey, met some really good friends and enjoyed immersing myself in the culture. Some of the places I visited were so much more than I had imagined and hopefully one day I will be able to return to this country.

Awoke early this morning and watched as the ship cruised along the Bosphorus and into the Port at Istanbul.
The harbour was packed with lots of small fishing boats that were being thrown around in the wake, and were taking their chances by cutting the cruise ship off.
