Spent the last couple of days in Abilene, TX. Mostly uneventful drive, but we did have to stop a couple of times and fix a piece of weather stripping that was flapping around on the camper.

We arrived in town hungry with no food in the camper (yet again), so we thought we'd go out for dinner. We have a gift card for Olive Garden, and Dean loves ...

We yelled encouraging words and even some instructions to the cowboys trying to milk a wild cow. The venue was not crowded at all so the kids moved around as the evening progressed sitting by one sibling, then a parent, then to themselves for a while. The camaraderie I've been longing for is ...

    Abilene Texas/Bent Wheel Bash

A travel blog entry by loriwatkins on Mar 15, 2013

For the Bent Wheel Bash, there was camping on location available but nothing with hookups. Jeremy wasn't too keen on sleeping without air conditioning so we opted to stay in a hotel for this race. By next year we will have a generator to solve the AC without hookups issue. The race was good and everyone had a lot of fun. The course is at a police training center. I've never raced past fields of broken glass before, lol. The course is ...
