... a pavillion. Bochie Ball courts, horseshoe pits, a library, a kitchen, shuffelboard courts, a sunning deck and lots of green grass to enjoy. Oh yea, it is on an island, surrounded by water. Everywhere you go there is a river or a tributary and signs all over "No Swimming' and either right above or below those signs "BEWARE OF ALLIGATORS". ... amp; warm waters. It has a great combination of things to do; the Widlife Refuge, bike trails all over the island & lots of places to canoe or kayak. Sanibel is small enough to bike around, it's 12 miles long & 3 mile wide at the widest point! To me it's an ideal place to camp, IF you can get a space!! It would also be easier to get around on bikes than in a car!!

... I breezed through security as I am TSA Precheck and was able to bypass the regular screening line. I purchased a bagel for breakfast at the Great American Bagel Factory and headed to my gate. The plane was scheduled to depart at 6:28 a.m. and was soon in the air and headed to Houston (IAH). The flight was uneventful and I was glad I had Economy Plus seats for this trip. ... so it's about NZ$1.22 ltr which is quite a help on a long trip! About half NZ prices. Diesel is dearer than petrol but I don't think they have road user charges for mileage.

Most groceries are quite a bit less at Walmart etc. I spotted some lamb 'shoulder spare ribs' which looked like boned out shoulder cut into strips, and was $12 for 2 lbs = NZ$7.26/kg. There is hardly any lamb on offer.
Beef, the main meat offering is about the same price as at home. Cooked chooks ...
