... to view was original. At the same time though it made me realize just how much damage was done during World War II and how much was lost. However, what is original was amazing and breathtaking to view!

I didn't have time to do everything I would have wanted to while in Munich but I feel that I got to do and see a great deal. It's a city that I will definitely be coming back to and look forward to exploring some more in the future! ...

We arrived at the festival at 8:00 am to guarantee us a spot in one of the tents. The rule at Oktoberfest is that if you are not sitting at a table you will not be served. Therefore, most people wake up at the early hours of the day to get the best seats. Saturday was the opening day for Oktoberfest so the mayor of Munich tapped the keg at 12:00 pm. It was dinner time when I arrived, so I checked in and headed out on the hunt of food. I walked around for probably an hour in Marienplatz, the city center, looking for something that tickled my fancy. I realized I just couldn't stomach ...

Today is our last morning in Bavaria as we fly to Reykjavik this afternoon. Rather than cram in the last few hours of sightseeing, we lingered over the hotel's complimentary breakfast and then got moving. The girls wanted to do some shopping and Anne wanted to see the Glockenspiel at 11am. So we packed up our backpacks and headed back ...

We'll be spending quite a bit of the day travelling to Munich. Although the flight itself only takes around an 1hr 20 mins with such a large group we will have to take two different flights from Bussels airport. Therefore we get a bit of a sleep in as the buses don't depart the hotel until 8:30 & 9am! The first flight takes off with 29 of our group at 12:05pm Lufthansa flight LH2285. While the second group will take ...
