On arrival at the tunnel to the elevator we queued only a short time and were taken up in the elevator in bunches of about 45. It takes only 41 seconds to travel up to the house and the same down.

At the top we were met with a beautiful view of the many nearby mountains, valleys, countryside and lakes and most visitors were clicking away happily. Our ...

... two outfits before the shops shut. What a mission. Dave's was somewhat easier, red or blue checkered shirt with leather lederhosen in different lengths. For me, I think I tried on every single one of the few hundred Dirndl dresses available with limited sizes left (I was after size midget). We ended up getting kicked out of the store after they'd well and truly closed but we have our traditional wear!
