... Trail. I checked out the Aqueduct ruins and the rebuilt Change Bridge before setting out at 9 am..

There were a few little villages, more bridges and locks. At one point the whole canalway trail was cleared of vegetation so you could see the canal very clearly. That was a definite plus.

I think one of the other highlights for me was Fairport. Another village, Fairport seems to take full ...

... My aim is to find it.
What I DIDN'T love about Italy - that I missed from America:
Eggs. I missed eggs for breakfast so much. I cannot subsist on a little pastry or toast with jam or even a piece of cheese or ham. I need my morning eggs.
Air conditioning. The train ride from Turin to Venice was nearly unbearable. We rode 3 hours in a train that had very little air conditioning. We arrived in Venice super sweaty and probably a little smelly. There's ...

... worth the $5) for Rome/Siena/Florence/Venice and starred all of the main attractions, restaurants, parks, and neighborhoods I want to visit in those cities. I have downloaded all of Rick Steve's audio walking tours for everything possible. I even have apps for currency conversion, for offline English-Italian translation, and for sending postcards to family using pictures I've taken in Italy. Amazing.

    And yet...
