Oh my, this place is beautiful. Set on the beach with awesome sea views. They sent a shuttle to pick us up from the airport and we were delivered to the door step in no time. My room is the standard room, with partial seaviews and a super comfy bed with feather pillows. The room is spacious and clean and freshly decorated. I have all the facilities I need including Wi fi and cable TV. What more could I want?

I'd been out for dinner with some friends, which turned into a few drinks out on the town. We ended up drinking back at the hotel bar until the early hours with a couple of girls we'd found. Having driven there initially, I was in no state to drive home so I drunkenly "negotiated" a room for the night. A very reasonable £80 had me in a nicely decorated double room. I noticed in the morning that it was a little on the compact side, however it served the purpose. Breakfast was good and included in the price.

... 8221;. A lot of tourists come to Bo-Kaap every day in order to take photos of various colorful houses that stand in this quarter today.

After taking some unique pictures in Bo-Kaap we went back to the city center. Our guide showed us the Greenmarket Square where locals sell thousands of typical African souvenirs. Their authenticity is often questioned though.

The members of the Drinking Club welcomed us and we all shared a bucket. Some even asked that we take pictures and there was no way I was passing up an opportunity to document Rachel downing a warm bucket of local beer. The members got a big kick out of it and I'm sure they were laughing with us and not at us, knowing what's really in that stuff. But hey, its all about the experience, right!

Today we went to the University of Cape Town Health Science campus again and had a history of South Africa lecture. We learned in great detail how the apartheid came about and affected the people of SA today. We then went over the mountain into Cape Town and visited the District Six museum. Cape Town during apartheid was separated at first into 12 districts and then reduced into 7. District 6 was the only district that kept its name. It was primarily ...
