    Scenery second to none

Oh my, this place is beautiful. Set on the beach with awesome sea views. They sent a shuttle to pick us up from the airport and we were delivered to the door step in no time. My room is the standard room, with partial seaviews and a super comfy bed with feather pillows. The room is spacious and clean and freshly decorated. I have all the facilities I need including Wi fi and cable TV. What more could I want?

I'd been out for dinner with some friends, which turned into a few drinks out on the town. We ended up drinking back at the hotel bar until the early hours with a couple of girls we'd found. Having driven there initially, I was in no state to drive home so I drunkenly "negotiated" a room for the night. A very reasonable £80 had me in a nicely decorated double room. I noticed in the morning that it was a little on the compact side, however it served the purpose. Breakfast was good and included in the price.

Over the years I managed to tick off more than a hundred countries but the ravages of time have taken their toll. A double bypass and the odd twinge of arthritis remind me that my body is potentially a ticking time bomb. I have been saving for a rainy day but the reality tells me that it is raining NOW! ... was that there were terrifying baboons everywhere and we witnesses one dash into a couples car, spin round in circles and steal their food. They are so vicious and one animal I just can't abide. We decided to scoot to Hervey Bay where we were told we may see some whales. It was a 2 hour car journey from where we were but we wanted I fit in as much as possible. The weather was soooooo windy and the highway went up to the hills, I ...

The only immediate help we could give him was to show him some exercises he could do to improve circulation in his bad leg. I should also mention that he lived on the third floor, the highest floor in his building. He said it takes him at least a half hour to go up or down his stairs.

Hotel. Drop off. Check in. Good night!

Note from Lisa because I have a couple of observations not included in Bill's narrative, mainly having to do with the attached photos. FIrst off, the banana plantations were amazing. They went on as far as the eye could see. In a strange way, it reminded me of the cornfields ...
