... staff than patrons. Cost €10 to get in! The interior is like one of the palaces I’ve been too; plush seats; pull levers on the pokies. The tables are old-style with the croupiers using real rakes to literally rake the money in. Even the toilets are self-cleaning. The whole place is quite surreal. Not as big as I imagined, and I think it was quiet because u had to pay, whereas the casino at my hotel was always packed & free entry with ...
Monaco, Monaco travellingross... the most beautiful boats in the world are in MonteCarlo...
Language is more interesting in france. If we try to do the simple tourist things then most people can work out what is going on but when we try something else eg. going to the doctor (sue has been sick) going to a chemist.. or finding a Laundamatt.. then the language thiig is a bit more animated....
have some grat pics of Nice and French Rivierra to show when we get home...
... tomorrow. The hotel is the flashest i have ever stayed at. There was a gala ball on tonight and some famous people (tv cameras here and all!). I didn't recognise anyone tho. Had a drink at the bar to soak up the atmosphere. My view is fantastic.
Not going to update the travel blog for a few days while I enjoy the relax time in Monte Carlo. Will summarise it all with photos once I’m on my way to Italy. Here’s hoping the weather shines for me.
... one outside my building reads "Stop Deportation." ...HELL YEAH!!
I have been moved into a new flat that is in a brand new building. It's a single and although its a little smaller, I like it alot more than the old one. Unfortunately the location is a bit out of the way and I need to rely on more forms of public transportation. This is a bad thing as the transit workers recently went on strike, cutting down on a ton of buses, trams and metros. They ...
... Cuda! I jeszcze zatrzymywaly sie, zeby Cie przepuscic - zanim nawet zdazylas dojsc do pasow. Mialam bardzo malo czasu, ale to, co zobaczylam, przekonalo mnie, ze to nie moj ostatni raz w Ksiestwie Monako.
ENGLISH:
Every time we were in the picturesque town of Villefranche in the French Azur Coast, I always wanted to travel to Monaco. My schedule though wouldn`t let me do it. That day I managed with the time and straight ...
... That is saying a lot since its coming from someone who couldn’t care less about gardening.
A road is tunneled under a corner of the park and a cave, the Grotted de I’Observatoire, is under the garden as well. This cave is cool, silent and dark with an array of stalagmites and stalactites—just what you would expect to find in a cave. In this cave was found evidence of prehistoric humans ...
After spending Saturday in Nice, on Sunday we took the train to Monte-Carlo, Monaco, an independent principality about 30-40 minutes away from Nice. They don't have to pay taxes here, and let me tell you, the residents take advantage of it. I saw more Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and other pricey cars just tooling around the streets than anywhere else. I have also decided that I want a yacht. I think everyone's first impression ...
Monte-Carlo, Monaco cmvanacker... the equation.
One of the quintessential Monte Carlo experiences must be sitting out on the umbrella-adorned pavement of the Café de Paris, looking across to the Monte Carlo Casino, watching the world go by. So that is exactly what we did. A cold glass of beer in hand, sunglasses on, time to look the business. Oh yes indeed. Here I marvelled at ...
... So we were searching Street 20 September, but couldn't find it, and you know why? It was a one-way traffic street. So in the end they just drove away(((( unbearable, can't forget it(( the only thing we saw in Genova was Piazza della Vittoria with ark in the center. By the way cute ark))
At night we arrived to La Spezia and found out that there was a huge festival there which has just finished... So if we left Genova earlier we wouldn't miss it... again pity..
