... door is Serial #1 - the oldest Harley in existence (excuse the pic quality as they keep the lighting quite low in this area). While it has been proven to be the oldest (only 3 were made that year), it had been modified over the years and as such is not entirely original.

The most valuable bike in the collection is the 1909 V-Twin, the first V-Twin they made. After building, and selling, 27 of them ...

... to begin - guess who was first in line? Total distance to the Ferry Terminal from home - 592km (8 hours).

The Lake Express Ferry travels at fairly high-speed (approx. 60kph) and yet it still takes 2.5 hrs. to cross Lake Michigan. ... Being a Sunday we drove into the city and found a parking spot near to the river which has a walk on both sides. There are also sculptures along the walk, including the most photographghed spot in Milwaukee which is a statue of the Fonz. We watched the small pleasure boats going through the raised bridges and had a beer and mojito at a micro brewery.

Off to find a camp spot and ended up at the State fairgrounds. Today was the last day of a huge music festival called Summerset.

A big thank you goes out to all of you who have been following our trip as we go! It was so nice to hear from some of you along the way. It will be even better to see/talk with you once ...

... The Js (Jen,John and James) at the museum and headed back to look for it, didnt find the wallet over an hour later, drove back to find the Js where we had left them. It wasnt the Museum, it was the Harley headquarters. Afternoon buggered, headed to the summerfest to watch the Aerosmith concert we had pre booked. after a stinking hot day a cool change came thru, and we all nearly froze to death.
