... the gift shop and they had everything cathedral!! We also found a shop we had gone in last time that had official German "stuff" and I found the candle merry-go-round thingy mother had...I wanted to get one for our family tradition. So, that was a souvenir found!! They had many of the smokers like Sylvia has...so cute. If I had a wall for knick knacks I would love to look at those treasures - our maybe ...

We arrived in Cologne at noon, and after another delicious lunch we headed off on a tour of the city, which is dominated by the Cologne Cathedral. One word for the Cathedral - WOW!!! Us Catholics sure know how to spend the peasants money!!...:-)

We awoke to some brighter skies and the hope that we might see some sun for a change - not complaining - just saying!!!

... served with mashed potatoes. One of the other women had German potato salad that was so much better than I remembered. I had hoped that they were serving potato pancakes, like my Grandpap Erb used to make, but...not on the menu. Ric ordered schnitzel, which he liked and his potatoes were pan-fried, like my mom makes sometimes. Those were good!
