... settled for the night (big sleep due) and then we are off to the National Parks tomorrow (possibly no reception for a few days) the beaches look fantastic there and lets face it - the camping is cheap! Thats after we go and see the 200 meters of Jetty that we can get to :(

With the weather rapidly deteriorating, we continued south, stopping at Rockingham, Mandurah and Bunbury, looking for somewhere to stay a few days. We set up at Busselton in a van park that has an indoor/outdoor swimming pool - perfect for the kids! The beach is literally across the road, but unfortunately the weather was far from suitable. ... A drive over the Denmark River and a quick turn from the town onto Ocean Beach Road took us past Wilson Inlet to Ocean Beach lookout which overlooked Ratcliffe Bay on the Southern Ocean! As you drive along these extremely long and straight roads through the country and then you blink the town has gone. Talk about Village of the Dammed, these places are it, first hand. I then went to watch the bike section and then helped out at the end - letting bike catchers know how many people were coming in to finish at a time then I helped catch bikes myself which was great fun. As I was at the end of the course I ended up in the background of most people's pictures at the finish line! Next was the run ...

... Little Creatures", which was incredibly nice considering it used to be a crocodile farm. Actually to call it a "pub" is a bit misleading, it was more like a brewery with a bar inside! Very cool.



We then walked across the park and through some of the quiter streets and into the centre.
