... to avoid getting wet, so we have no seats, no kitchen, and we spend the first 3 days avoiding camp and we mainly eat at MacDonalds…….see ya later tan and flat stomach!!!! NNOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
We eventually get motivated and set-up the annex and gosh it makes a difference. It even motivates us to get out and about. We are camping in Busselton which is a lovely town and quite central for the surf beaches and places of interest around here. The caravan park ...
... settled for the night (big sleep due) and then we are off to the National Parks tomorrow (possibly no reception for a few days) the beaches look fantastic there and lets face it - the camping is cheap! Thats after we go and see the 200 meters of Jetty that we can get to :(
Some food stats - dearest block of chocolate - $10.60 (Roadhouse on the Nullarbor) Sausage Roll - $4.80 (Roadhouse on the Nullarbor) Schooner - $7.20 (Esperance)
With the weather rapidly deteriorating, we continued south, stopping at Rockingham, Mandurah and Bunbury, looking for somewhere to stay a few days. We set up at Busselton in a van park that has an indoor/outdoor swimming pool - perfect for the kids! The beach is literally across the road, but unfortunately the weather was far from suitable. Probably the most notable attraction is the jetty, the longest in the southern hemisphere at nearly 2km long. It was ...
Busselton, Western Australia, Australia pops4... A drive over the Denmark River and a quick turn from the town onto Ocean Beach Road took us past Wilson Inlet to Ocean Beach lookout which overlooked Ratcliffe Bay on the Southern Ocean! Here, we watched at the waves rolled in, row after row, almost symetrically! Back on the South Coast Highway we continue driving west along the large Karri, Marri and Jarrah trees which often hugged and clouded the ...
Margaret River, Australia ricknelsie... coastal part of Oz but Jesus is it grim? I bet the suicide rate in some of them places is hiiiiigh. As you drive along these extremely long and straight roads through the country and then you blink the town has gone. Talk about Village of the Dammed, these places are it, first hand. Still it was good to get a taste of it and we were glad to get out of Perth. After about a 4 hours drive, as it was late, we just camped at ...

I then went to watch the bike section and then helped out at the end - letting bike catchers know how many people were coming in to finish at a time then I helped catch bikes myself which was great fun. As I was at the end of the course I ended up in the background of most people's pictures at the finish line! Next was the run ...

We then walked across the park and through some of the quiter streets and into the centre.

... notices and I was handing out resumes at the same time. I walked into an Italian restaurant called Madonnas and ten minutes later I walked out with a job and an invite to check out a sharehouse in the area. Excitedly Ash and I drove to the house (within walking distance to town and to the beach) and within another 10 minutes had agreed to take the room on offer. So we moved into the little room to begin life with our new housemates Kieran and Mitch. At first all ...

Busselton, Australia cornerstoneccMargaret River...
