Of course, given the way my second item worked it possible the same process was operating!
My second objective seems the simpler. Buy a ferry ticket to Batam, going through the Riau Islands. Sadly I had 4 travel agents tell me either that they didn't arrange ferrys, or in 2 cases that ferrys ...
... like my doorbell at home.
But it does make you wonder what would happen if you (or a monkey) actually pushed it.
I'm not going to find out.
Plus - look at this interesting drink. It wasn't mine (I stuck to Coke Zero). Sweat in a can?
... Didn't buy any copies of copyrighted movies. But those that are in the theater now are on DVD within days. And they only cost between $1-2.
Did get a photo of 4 people on a scooter, although it is fuzzy. Didn't see any 5's on this trip yet.
Had a late lunch at one of the hotels - had a change of pace on the food as well.
One of my old co-workers works here now. He invited us to the normal Friday night game of frisbee football. Apparently most of the expat families meet at the international school every Friday. Then the guys play frisbee while the women talk and the kids play.
Hard to believe I ran around for over an hour. And the next day, I was SORE!!!
But the payoff - they had real pizza delivered. Much better than the food I was getting to eat.
... this city, all i know this city is very rich with the palm oil sources and oil and gass stuff.. we cant find lots things in riau hehehe thats why i just took a few pics when i visited riau :) the foods were nice specialy with the durian stuff and ikan patin/ cat fish .... the durian was very sweeet, thick meat and Lil seed.. we ate the durian with the sticky rice.. it was my first time eating durian ...
