      Very comfortable stay

Central location but set back down a tiny alley easy to miss which makes it quiet and feels far from the traffic. The room was clean, well equipped and the bed was firm for a perfect night sleep!

Good location for Khao San Road without being in the noise, wifi stopped working after one day. Struggled to find the place to start with as it's down a small alley with without obvious signage. Bedroom a good size but bathroom is very small.

      Cheap as chips!

Very reasonable for the price! Room is very small, however you have a tv and air conditioning. The staff didn't speak much English but were very friendly and always happy to help. 7 eleven just around the corner, and a few minutes walk from Khao San Road. Hotel is located down an alleyway, so was quite hard to find as our Taxi driver had to get out and ask people for directions to the hotel. One thing that was annoying was what we believed to be a Mosque close by that would start playing prayers out at about 5am for about half an hour!! But that wasn't the hotels fault. The shower is a shower head above the sink, was a bit strange at first but after travelling around Thailand we realized this was quite normal! I would return as it was so cheap and I believe it was reasonably priced for what we were provided!

      Jet lagged after the flights!

      Pit stop!

A travel blog entry by eloiseanddaniel on Dec 03, 2014

After our 24 hour journey from France, including a one stop in Mumbai and a 2 hour taxi ride through the traffic of Bangkok, we were so relieved to fall into bed at a lovely hotel (recommended by Tally!) in central Bangkok. Whilst I just passed out Daniel went out in search of food and in the morning informed me he didn't think I'd like it and we …

      First stop Bangkok

Landing in Thailand for the first time can be a bit of a culture shock. Not because it's so different to England, but because it looks just the same. By the time we reached our hotel I had concluded we were definitely not in the golden sand, clear water paradise I was expecting. Bangkok is a muggier version of London at an initial glimpse, and as …

We had a few days in Bangkok, mainly eating and drinking. We were both a bit tired of sight-seeing so don't have much to report. Of course we went for a wander down Khaosan road, but it’s really built for tourists and not our kind of scene.

On our first night we went looking for somewhere to eat and ended up in an old hippie’s …

... beach and soaked some sun. We had beers in the water and talked about crazy it was to be swimming in the Andaman sea. After we all were completely burned and exhausted from the beach, we went back to the hostel and got ready for a show and buffet we had bought tickets to. The show was called Fantasea. It was a cirque de soleil type of show about the Thai culture. It was incredible. There were a lot of animals I corporates int the show which was cool. When we ...
