All gutted this part of our trip is over, as it was just gorgeous and we didn't get to see everything we wanted to! Maybe a whanau trip here in a couple of years - it just amazing! We stayed at the Amari Vogue Resort in Tup Kaek Beach (not far from Ao Nang) and right opposite Koh Hong (Hong Islands). We booked a Honeymoon suite with an outdoor spa bath, but could not have been prepared for the beauty of this place! The resort is 5 star luxury and the location was breathtaking. Anyhoo here are...
Aonang, Krabi, Thailand weenie2This has got to be the most beautiful place! Phang Nga Bay is just amazing, and where we stayed, was five star luxury - we didn't want this part of the trip to end. We stayed at the Amari Vogue, a new five star resort in Tup Kaek beach, close to Ao Nang, Krabi. We were right opposite the Hong Island group - so hired a longtail boat and went exploring. There was so much we didn't see here though, that we think a family trip to Krabi might be worth considering. Anyhoo - here are some photos A

... but since yesterday alarm bells were ringing. I wisely hovered over the toilet to ****, and a flurry of curried slurry hurried out of me in a flurry.
FFFFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLOBOLOBOLOBO LOOOOOO!!!
Putting the fact that it was undoubtedly diahorrea to one shelf for the moment, it was the most pleasant sh*t I have done in a long time, starting with a phenominally pleasing pressurised blast of liquid ****, and then a steady flow of raw effluent. The stomach ...
Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand jamiemeasures... smell the next move in the air, and warned Japster of the inevitable.
Sure enough, the boatmen suggested that we pay for the other 6 and they would take us. It was my first experience with the haggle. We didn't so much as haggle, more than hang around not sure what to do until the price dropped to something we were happy with (150 baht, or 3 quid each, on top of the 200 baht we both paid at the office).
We jumped into the boat (and really jumped, to avoid sea ...
Railay Beach, Krabi, Thailand jamiemeasures... type people but a good backpacker scene so I've stayed here longer than I thought I would. Weather has been good but it is very hot and the sun is incredibly strong so sunbathing is not an option until 4 in the afternoon. And taking a dip in the sea is like having a bath. The hottest sea water I've ever experienced. That's about all I have to report.
Ko Phi Phi, Thailand gazhams... and reminded me what Uncle Phil had said about the insurance problems with having a crash (if you don't hold a licence in England you may be liable for payment of all the treatment costs). That and also made me think I don't want to die on a Thai A-road in the middle of the night. Dark times.

Needless to say again didnt sleep much cuz of the incessant stops - how many times does the driver need t' loo for God's sake! Got to Surat Thani quite early ...
Krabi, Thailand comedyad... prawns in my Pad Thai even though I asked for chicken, and his choice was not to my tastes. English didn't seem to be the forte, so I just sucked it up and watched Matt eat two dinners. Then as we were headed to the town center we spied what looked like a flood of yellow t-shirts at the end of the main street, which we figured could be nothing other than protestors. Yellow is the color of support for the king, and the demonstrators ...

We hired kayaks for the day and took to the sea! We explored all the amazing rock pinnacles that stick up from the water, and gazed at climbers attempting some incredible cliffs. We tried snorkeling but the visibility was poor. However the kayaking was just the start of our ...
Krabi, Thailand samandchantal... clear you could see the coral-covered seabed five meters below. A narrow opening in the cliffs allowed us to explore a secluded lagoon. The emerald lagoon was surrounded on three sides by towering jungle-clad cliffs that were at least a hundred meters high. At the foot of the cliffs were little stalactite covered caves and small coves lined with very private white sandy beaches. A little waterfall and swaying coconut trees completed the picture of ...
Krabi, Thailand velvetescape... very sick. She couldn't keep any food are even water down and she had become very weak and dehydrated. It was becoming to difficult to live the travelling lifestyle. So after much discussion Elly and I decided to make plans to travel home. Chump travelled north as we planned to Chiang Mai and then onto Vietnam and Cambodia, and we headed back to Phuket and then onto Dubai heading for home.
