Arriving late at Singapore, about 10am, I got the 145 bus around the corner to the stop outside the Amara hotel and walked over to the MRT station, where a train journey with one change got me to Changi airport. I planned to spend the day here, as it is a big airport with lots to do, voted number 1 airport in the world and the only 5* one. I got a refund on my ezLink card as I wouldn't be using it again, and went up into the airport. I'd arrived at Terminal 2 and needed to get over to Termina...

Our first morning in Singapore wasn't exactly as planned as most of it was spent in a doctor's surgery getting Will's wound looked at. Luckily the doctor here looked like he'd received his training this Century and confirmed that all was ok. So the rest of the day was looking around the city, sightseeing and partaking in Singaporean's favourite activity - shopping! Later that day we headed out for a Singapore Sling at Raffles - for reference it is very sweet and very expensive but you did ge...

... fancy buildings, expensive shopping centres, and very advanced technology used on everything from the Public Transit stations, to the toilets and elevators. Puala Ubin on the other hand is entirely different. It is obviously very impoverished, and has a very raw appearance. There are no paved streets, no cars, and the houses are simple wood shacks with tin roofs. The main street of the island is lines with small shops which thrive off of tourism. There are tons of bike rental ...
Singapore, Singapore meaghanbeech... and we find the one tiny little place where you can print in Sydney airport, in a cake cafe place. Get it printed, relieved we head through security to get some food and short rest before boarding our flight. We use up our small change on a Krispy Kreme doughnut and milkshake each then head to the departure gate where we see a big queue. We wonder to the front and they are handing out meal vouchers as the flight has been delayed for 3 hours. Great ...

Singapore, Singapore lyncraven... he shouted 'Go for a run!' mid-song at this slightly chubby girl groupie singing along at the side. How cruel. Afterwards, we made our way to a nearby mall to a KTV lounge and got started! At first everyone was a little shy but we soon got into it - no-one really had the guts to attempt a solo though - we mainly stuck to group singalongs and duets. Never before (or again) will Singapore be subjected to such out-of-tune attempts (with the notable exception of Shan of course ...
Singapore, Saskatchewan, Singapore cereal42... more. (Three Reasons: Pocessed Food, Pocessed Food. and Pocessed Food. I have to say, it is tempting to make a quick Air Conditioned McDonald's run rather than sit on one more ****** little plastic stool at a ****** little plastic table to slurp down more fried noodle under a heat collecting plastic awning. So far, I have only broken down for the free refills of McD's coffee. Singapore is definitely on the ...
