Consolation came in the form of chocolate de la taza (hot choccy) in a little cafe with a detailed analysis of the foreboding cold weather to come in Spanish from the owner....no halidos today then Thank you! The Tramontana is white with snow and the wind is chilly and sea swelly. It's February and its a git! There were beaches to walk on, a lovely rock walkway along one side of the island, caves where you could hear the water crashing and disappearing into, and the water was sooo clear and turquoise!

It is currently raining a little but the skies look good. So we head up to the summer castle of the Spanish Kings. King James I to ...

Overnight we cruised from Tunis to Palma de Mallorca arriving about midday and after having lunch we took the shuttle bus to get us into the centre of town. We had considered walking as they were charging €25 for a return for two which we thought expensive for a 10 minute bus ride. However it is a captured market and it was a good walk. Maybe a taxi would be no more expensive. Maybe we will try that next time! The shuttle dropped us near the centre of Mallorca and ...
