Sam and I had visited Bali 14 years ago, and had enjoyed an idyllic few days in Nusa Dua. We've just arrived in Sri Lanka last night after a 3 am start and a 12 hour trip. Today we slept in then spent the afternoon exploring Colombo. We are now on our way to Kandy which is the cultural centre of the ...

... we did not need one and to be careful because these people can get quite aggressive if you refuse! Blimey, thats nice at a Temple. Safety in numbers we all agreed to stick together for this venue (I felt rather relieved) and our driver dropped us at the bottom of a long uphill road and said he wasn't allowed to go any further so we had to walk the rest of the way to the entrance. We all agreed after 10 mins that we wished we hadn't eaten quite so much! ...
