... DJ who was playing so cool slow music.

We didn’t stay too long as we had a beach bed booked for Saturday so we could chill out all day. Even the beach beds have cool red Rolling Stones lips style cushions. So we will be back.

We had the private shuttle back to the main road through security and up the bamboo tunnel back to the main road. We then walked 100 steps over to Sarong for our evening meal. We were lucky to get into this ...

... our own personal pool.
We thought the ride to the island was rough, man were we wrong. During the week we heard rumors that all boat activity between Bali and Lombok was canceled due to rough seas. On our was back from Lembongan we got a little taste. Sounded like thunder claps when our 100 seat boat's hull smashed into the rolling waves. The waves looked two meters high as we could barely see over them sometimes. We were a bit glad to be in the harbour after that ride.

She has been in Australia for a week, pretty much to avoid me, but I appreciate her doing it none the less, after all I think Lydia's a nice enough girl, she's just spoilt and wants ...

Canggu (Chan-goo) isn't really what I expected. Quite apart from the fact that ever map on the internet is calling this Badung, the place is a bizarre mix of sprawling new suburbia and anachronistic remnants of the past.

The drive from the airport revealed roads are roughly paved with sandy verges, and decorated liberally with discarded cans, plastic bags, animals and skateboarding children. Sometimes they're one way, and you can't see if ...

Raging rivers and volcanos PART 2 (Gunung Rinjani)

My diligently set 5am alarm as usual didn't account for 'Indonesia pace' which generally mean that aside from the Muezzin (Muslim priest...prayers around 4am) and his followers, no one was awake yet. Certainly no major hustle to leave the base on time. Banana pancakes all round, tea coffee. And a magnificent sunrise as Rinjani came into view.

After starting up the hill around 6.30am, our day consisted of a solid 7 ...
