We decided to head towards the coast and try following the water. It worked well for us in the Peloponnese, so it might work here…
Went through a cute little town and saw a sign for a campground! But the further we cycles away the more ...

Where do spice shops abound and everything is sold in bulk?
Where do you get friendly waves and honks while cycling?
Where can you go into a shop to buy something they don't stock ad the shop owner runs out to get it for you from another shop?
Where do old men eat more mandarins than they sell?

According to the fact, that I already have travelled around Eastern Europe at the beginning of this worldtrip, there was little reason - or better said, little money left - to do it again. So it was planed to take one of those many ferrys connecting almost every corner of the european coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

... to eat which served steak, and it was an expensive meal but one of the best steaks I've ever had. Chris said the same of hers. We had asked if they had any amaretto for Christine, but alas no. However, when we’d finished the meal the waiter brought out a couple of crème de menthe liquors on the house, so that just topped it off nicely.

... came from and were offered by the current tenant to come inside but my mom declined the offer. Off to the coast where we had an amazing and very filling lunch of which I truly enjoyed and then thought how sad it would be to go back home without knowing how to cook traditional foods from Greece that are so very yummy...I bought a cook book which will most likely collect dust in my kitchen as I cant cook...I leave that up to Shawn! Like most of these hikes and climbs I make, this one may appear more intimidating and difficult than it actually was.

He was 70 years old, and was traveling with his Italian friend (“girlfriend”?); anyway, younger woman companion. And by the way, she had been--I think--giving me the eye ...
... careering through the customs building. It really was both horrifying and hilarious to watch. After he had halted the boat inches from the glass doors he chocked it, wandered back to the ferry and while the rest of us were still staring slack-jawed in disbelief, he casually lit up a fag. On his return to the ferry he surreptitiously placed a large, filthy piece of rug at the bottom of the ramp. At the next attempt the driver - a complete dipstick ...

It's an ugly little port of mainly characterless concrete buildings hunched along the crescent of the harbor. What little charm it once might have had has been buried in cracked concrete and seaside kitsch. The crumbling medieval fortress still stands, it's walls in many places serving as wall and foundation of sad little nondescript houses in the former Turkish and Jewish sector. But it ...

Packs of children were roaming the laneways with Zeus bungers and a squad of rowdy soldiers were tormenting the locals in the main 'square', so I retreated back to the capital on the return bus. I didn ...
