... of snakes in crates and realising they probably weren't pets, we figured that Hauxi wasn't going to be the best choice.

Raohe was fun. There was a beautiful temple next to the market and the streets were jam packed with food stalls. We got some freshly made dumplings, Alex had two kinds of sausage and some BBQ beef (flame torched while you wait), and we tried some bamboo juice together. Which was repulsive. ... all very well dealt with. So...on to Taiwan!

Firstly, nothing could have prepared us for the heat we experienced in Taiwan. It was relentlessly hot with humidity that made your clothes cling to you the moment you stepped off the ship. In the states it's common for people to wear pajamas on the plane and treat flying or travel as nothing out of the ordinary. In Taipei the halls of the separate terminals were lined with high-end stores such a Gucci, and Burberry. Every single employee was in a uniform of some sort, most included neck ...

... it was a wonderful day to get soaked! I'll put up some pictures of the rafting for you too, it was awesome!

Two days ago we went to the Taroko Gorge, which is a really beautiful place. We hired a man named Mr Lee to drive us there and stay with us all day, as it was about an hour from our hostel. The first thing we did was hike about two hours along a beautiful blue river, which runs along the bottom of the gorge. While we ...
