After three nights we moved onto Boquete which is inland and much higher in cloud forest- consequently noticeably cooler. This is hikers paradise and I made the most of it all. I went into the cloud forest by jeep, hiked up hills to viewpoints and waterfalls, getting very wet, muddy boots in the process! Next stop was Santa ...

5) Panama City is pretty awesome. The people have been great to me (willingly pantomiming along with me and my horrible Spanish), the city has lots to do, and everybody seems less neurotic than my beloved Americans (I say that with love). ... higher. Just perfect. And the approach in to Newark earlier was nice too, we flew alongside Hudson River and Manhattan. So I'm happy even though I didn't have time to go in to the city. The flight down to Panama went pretty fast, some sleep and movie watching. And even down here we got the best approach you can wish for, and again I was sitting in the right side of the airplane. We flew straight in alongside the Panama Canal ...
