In all seriousness, whilst the money was a factor, the real reason was that I was loath to leave the boat at the mercy of other boaters coming into and out of the harbour. A lot of them were day boats ie speed boats of one form or another and many speedboat owners are semi-skilled at best at boat handling and we have seen very ...

The terrain in Finland is not particularly scenic after 2.5 weeks, more trees, farm fields, country houses, etc. Although the country is known for its multitude of lakes, rarely is there one of any significant size viewable from the highway. Once back at Ritva's we brought our bags back into our room and unloaded the suitcase we'd borrowed. ...

A travel blog entry by annekenincoq on Jun 25, 2013

Megan and I awoke before 9 am and did a quick cabin cleanup before breakfast. Having packed the night before gave us plenty of time to leave our cabin fairly tidy by shaking out the mats, making the beds and sweeping the floor.
