I met loads of family in Ireland on both mum and dad's sides
I went to Wimbledon and saw the men's quarter finals
I went to Geneva for my birthday to watch Federer play in the Davis Cup
I saw the Wallabies play England at Twickenham and ...

... its not snowing and you can just enjoy the sun.

We decided to go to Mondsee next which is another lake town. It was very pretty as it was surrounded by mountains on all sides. There was one restaurant open there which was right on the lake front and had a lovely view. We had some lunch there and watched the tour busses come through. I'm glad we got a car and can explore in our own time is all I'm going to say about that haha!

On the way back ...

Today is new years eve and we actually had a plan for the day. Last night we met some Germans staying in the hotel who were very friendly, they had booked a horse and sled ride through the town today and asked if we would like to come too. We said yes and so this morning went with them into the town and went for a ride.

The horses were Hungarian war horses and apparently there are only around 450 ...

... in the surrounding gardens conceived by Markus Sittikus, a man with a wicked sense of humour. He designed a series of practical jokes to pull on his guests - I can just imagine what they must've thought as they got soaked by hidden water fountains at an outdoor dining table or while walking under a carving of a deer head. You can't tour the fountains without getting wet - luckily we only got a bit damp thanks to the tour ...

... thing which they displayed in his place is the letter that Mozart wrote to his family :learning how the old day he communicate to his beloved (must be tough) and the things that they revealed in the letter let us know the emotion struggle and the lifestyle of this prodigy. In one of the letter, Mozart told his sister how much time he used for composing everyday..and guess what, it was long hours ...
