This was fine for the nights we went out, as the party had often finished by the time we returned from partying on the beach.     ... into the kitchen to get something without her glasses on and had interrupted his exploration by reaching for a fork.     ... though...not good!

    Ok...back to the next morning. I contact the property manager who informs us that we are in Thailand where having ants in the house is normal and he will be by shortly to tell us a "secret" of how to get rid of them. He comes by and tells us that we just need to go and buy spray from the grocery store and kill them. WE have to buy it! Wait a minute. This isn't our problem. We rented a habitable house not an ant farm! I digress...this ...

    ... the island's biggest tourists attractions. On to the next site, this time a bit more interesting... a mummified monk. The story went that the monk died very young (in his forties) and before his death said that he felt he had reached enlightenment and if he died and his body rotted, to bury him and he was wrong. If his body did not smell, to leave him and enshrine him. Sure enough, his body did not smell and he sits in a glass case in the exact same position he died in ...

    ... a green papaya salad and milkshake brought to us like royal family.

    We spent hours soaking up serious amounts of sun in the turquoise waters and midday sun. Romance in the waves. Sarah is getting into the sea big time, a personality change.

    Then we came back to the villa and spent hours writing all this with some room service to keep us going (spicey soup with coconut milk).
