Oh man, what a day!!! Up early (first ones in the hotel restaurant for breakfast early!) hopped in a cab and headed for the airport to pick up a car rental. We drove about an hour-ish to Kitzbühel and hit the slopes! I was terrified to begin with - the biggest mountains I've skied were Tremblant and Mont Ste. Anne. Matt was beside himself with …

What a busy day exploring this beautiful city! We started with a visit to the catacombs at St. Peter's Church, followed by a trip to Mozart's residence. Both were kinda meh - is that terrible to say? I think we were just both expecting more. Afterwards, we found a great little cafe with delicious coffee (which seems hard to come by), gelato and …

We awoke at the crack of 8:30 to get showered, packed and off to breakfast before grabbing a train to Salzburg, Austria. We hadn't had the traditional weisswurst as of yet, so it was now or never! Weisswurst is a boiled white sausage served with a soft pretzel (bretzn) and weißbier. It was way better than either of us thought it would be! And …

We have just come back from a lovely trip up to Lake Konigssee, and a boat trip down the lake to St Bartholoma. The lake is nestled between the mountains, and is 602m above sea level with an average depth of 150m. It is the cleanest lake in Germany, with the water being pure enough to be classified ...

... of Salzburg . Truth be told it's a great idea if someone checks the opening times of such places. We got off the bus at the wrong stop, walked the 1km up the Alps to the gorge to discover it was in fact closed. To make the most out of our journey we then proceeded to climb down to the gorge off the side of ...
