... for the Getreidegasse. Getreidegasse (Grain Lane) is a busy shopping street in the Altstadt (Old Town) section of Salzburg Austria. ... so no pics will do it justice (I took video though). So instead of a snow pic, I have attached a special photo I took today at the zoo.
Then after that excitement I got the funicular up to the fortress and my battery died after 3 photos so they are not very good but it was worth it to get a video of the Pumas.
Now am hoping for some sun tomorrow which is my last day in Salzburg. I wanna see those magnificent mountains.
... put together your own personal picnic to take back to your table in your beer hall and have soakage as you drink... all very well done. Stiegl was my other brewery visit, as they advertise a tour of their main brewery, on of the largest in the country. It was more a tour of the beer museum than the plant itself, but was worth a visit and included 3 free beers, one of which was a very yummy Christmas honey brew... mmmm!

Although no snow, I'm almost as excited about the prospect of seeing some sun tomorrow, as I have not seen one bit of sun since I left Sydney. The last tiny patch of blue sky I saw poking through clouds was in London, but haven't seen the orb since I left home. I'm doing the touristy places tomorrow so hopefully I will have some amazing views ahead of me.
... by the nuns. We learned that while many outside locations were filmed in Salzburg most of the inside locations were filmed back in Hollywood. Much to Ryan's excitement we sat on benches overlooking Salzburg and were handed laminated copies of the lyrics to some of the more popular "Sound of Music" songs. Accompanied by our guide's guitar we had a little sing along and I am happy to report that Ryan has a lovely singing voice. After the ...
