... was teaming with millions of kids so we chose beach and found a quiet spot under trees for some shade. It was already 30 degrees so we hunted down the sea for a cool off and once again the beaches were packed and not just for 500 meters but for 10 km. Friday 27th june
Staying in a city overnight is a bit like being tied up downtown auckland, street lights, people, fighting cats, etc make it less idyllic. We chose to stay here as we can get power and water and we need to charge all our devices, not just for Internet use, but for photo and video. It was quite a descent. First, right near the top was a small uphill that none of us pedalled over since we got enough momentum from the downhill just before it to carry us over--that was cool! ... from the supermarket so we're set! We get to the Loca Boat harbour just before 12pm, which is great timing as they close at 12 for lunch. Our boat is ready so we pack our luggage and stores, do some sorting out on board and then head to the restaurant at the harbour to eat before out 1400 check in.
