... was surprisingly light and we made good time to our first stop to stretch and walk around near Lockerbie. Back on the motorway we drove past Glasgow before crossing the Scottish border at Gretna. We didn’t stop at Gretna to take the “border” photos as we had been there in 2007. The amount of traffic increased as we made our way south and we made a second stop to stretch and walk around near Preston before driving into Liverpool.

Beautiful fine weather. Boarded the Johnathon Swift , a catamaran built in Fremantle, from the Dublin docks to Holyhead, Wales.
