We arrived in Melbourne late on Wednesday the 27th, in the rain on a day that had been 37 degrees; well it isn't nearly as warm now so as they say here we had to 'rug up'. We did a nice walking tour of the lanes and arcades and there are a lot in a very small section of the city. There is art everywhere, musicians playing along the streets, lots of …

Erica and Derek met us at the pick-up point and we were off with a five course dinner all prepared in a tiny little galley, by a single chef with two …

Erica figures that unlike Canada, where our churches united 75 years ago, the unification is still a work in …

We stayed here with another couple for 6 days and found the hotel and staff to be most satisfactory. The only downside is that the city decided to do a major overhaul of the tram-works about a block away over a 2 km section on Spencer Street over the Easter/ANZAC long weekend meaning lots of noise and tram and road traffic disruption.
