As the hot afternoon continued you could start to here the TV helicopters flying around overhead. At one point I counted 5 helicopters. ... to beat the crowd and get breakfast. I feel like I am at camp: sleeping in a hot room, tired and sore from the day’s activities and hurrying to beat the crowd and eat. All that being said this is a great camp!

bike we climbed. During this ride the weather was clear, sunny and very hot for
the Alps. Avg temperatures were in the low 90s. Thankfully the humidity was
low. It was much better than riding in Austin in July and August. I tried to

Up early this morning, truth is I woke at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep. I need to be down at St Jean du Maurienne for the start of the Etape by 6:45am and I have a 30min drive to get there from my base at Valmeinier.
