      ... I'm still very confused as to how they stay up there and don't plummet to their deaths. Snowshoeing proved to be a super fun experience with a heavy reliance on balance, which apparently I don't have too much of.       So today we had our first "Field Trip" with USAC. It was a lot of fun but boy am I exhausted. We spent the day at a ski resort town in the French Alps. We had several options of things to do (snowshoeing/skiing/snowboarding), but I thought "I'm going to be in the Alps,I might as well make it the first time I ski."

      ... at the bottom of the slopes I joined the large crowd shuffling its way thru to the main chairlift, once thru and up the mountain there is no requirement for scanning on the minor chairlifts of the top runs. Sitting on the chairlift I pulled the map from my sleeve pocket checked the location of the run they were on and re zipped the map back into the pocket.
