        We left Sauvignone soon after 09:00 and took the autostrade to Turin and then onwards to Briancon. We stopped at Momtgenevre where relatively fresh snow had been swept for the road into piles on the car park.         The jet lag is kicking in and we didn't get a perfect night's sleep, but we're in Annecy so how bad can it ever get?!

        We took a cruise on Lac Annecy today and it was stunning. The water is crystal clear and the Alps surrounding the lake give it an almost contrived look of beauty. The sky was clear blue and the sun was bright. What more could you ask for.
