We went for our last 3 mile run in Linkenheim this morning. We packed up and said our goodbyes to our wonderful German hosts, Rudy, Conny, Tomas, Matthias, and Andreas. We unfortunately hit a traffic jam on the way to Frankfurt (first accident we have seen on this trip) and our 1 1/2 hour drive turned into a more than 3 hour drive. We ...

... a quaint village with a lot of old half timbered houses in it. We parked the car in an underground parking lot and headed out to look around. We visited the Dominican church and the Cathedral St. Martin. Then we walked over to the tanners quarter, where they used to tan leather hides in the 17th and 18th century. Then over to petite Venice, a series of canals that were dug so that all of ...

Eventually I found a place to grab a late lunch and enjoy the sunshine. I ...

    ... well.

We then made out way to the palace where we climbed the tower. IT was a good workout.

Once we got up we got a great view of the city and what was left of the fan layout.

We then went down and looked at some of the palace items in the museum and then went for a stroll in the gardens.

Here we saw the greenhouses with lots of tropical gardens. It's pretty cool.

We then took Siobhan to work via the mall. We then made our way ...

    CAKE!

Dinner was at a small tapas restaurant and wine bar had a good portion of food and then a bottle of wine. By the time we finished there weren’t too many trains or trams home so we had to wait an hour to get on the train and another hour to get back to the hostel.

    It was a lovely day.

    Night.
