We have spent the past couple days in a tiny town called Bad Wildbad. It's an amazingly good town name and a fantastic place to be. We are in the northern portion of the Black Forest which is in southern Germany. The town is a retirement, rehabilitation, and resort area. It's great because we are here right before things pick up for the winter season if skiing so it is completely deserted of everyone ...

We travelled on the ICE train to Basil Switzerland - 1 hour and 20 minutes - and were welcomed on the platform by Philip and Eleonore and ...

What a wonderful part of the world this is! After trying to take in the scenery, and watching a paraglider take off from the summit, we returned to the city and had a late German traditional lunch - pork, sauerkraut etc. Today, being Sunday, the shops were only open from 1:00pm - 6:00pm. ...

... Bachs Klavierkonzerte with 4 pianos! I am particularly looking forward to it! This area is noted for its thermal spas and we found several on our walk. Most shops are closed today - we don't know why?!? We thought Saturday would be busy, but we were wrong. However, we did find all the restaurants and Konditerei (bakeries) were open! We seem to have a knack for finding these - ...
