... much on the first day anyway. So it was off to Vienna for a look around in the morning on our bikes. 14 km into Vienna on a flat cycle track and then we walked our feet off for the rest of the day. Vienna is a big city but the centre is amazing. We walked up 374 steps in the cathedral to get a birds eye view of the city. Even walking up the circular staircase was amazing. I got giddy going up and down. We enjoyed the sights and the temperature lifted ...

Hallo from Vienna, we have travelled quite a few k's since we last blogged as well as having left Germany and reaching Austria. We arrived in Vienna this morning and is naturally famous for Weiner Schnitzel and composers Straus and Mozart. The city has a population of 1.7 million people and the spoken language is German. Farm Life is proving less stimulating by the day, today I chopped at least six thousand vegetables and didn't even get to eat one. The highlight of today being that I watched a cat play with a tea bag for 10 minutes. The day only progressed to worse things, mainly shaving myself in ...

... hard time finding all of these things. There are lots of walking tours, for heftier-than-I-would-like price tags, and it is hard to find them offered in languages other than German. Unfortunately, it appears that Vienna is not a place for tourists on a budget. That being said, I did enjoy a lovely concert featuring works by Mozart and Strauss at the Schönbrunn palace this evening.

And now, on to the reason for this post's title. As ...

... that necessary. So once that was done, we got ready. I made sure that my clothes were warmer, my cough was still around and I kept drinking hot water with the vicks lozenges. It was a lot better just a nuisance really. Yesterday we covered most of the main attractions there were to see in Vienna. There were a few other attractions remaining that we left for today. The reasoning behind this was because it was further away from the city. The distance was pretty much ...
