... shower and needed to hold up their towel. Sometimes they would use one arm for a gesture, but I mean really... how graceful can u be when u look like someone who just stepped out of the shower? It was bizarre to say the least. The sets were reasonably boring. The costumes, well, apparantly we were lucky coming late because in the beginning there was someone in a g string, the others tell me. And also, all of the people pretty much wore the same thing to the point where I couldn't ...

It has officially turned into Winter

Hello everyone in the warm country back home.

It is now officially Winter. Yesterday the highest temperature was -3 and today on the way to Uni it snowed! Only slightly, but never the less, there was snow. This weekend it is supposed to snow quite a lot. I am looking forward to it. I will be in Lauterbach, Wurzburg and Rothenburg, and all will look so romantic covered in white. My teacher warned me that if the snow persists, I will have to ...

What happened Saturday?

... But I still went. From Essen we had to catch an incredibly cramped bus to Duisburg and then from there we had to wait for over 30 mins for a train to Düsseldorf. Whilst there we walked to the Altstadt, that I have visited previously, took a stroll along the Rhein and had some lunch. Then we found a map and decided to walk to a park where we saw heaps of squirrels (they are so cute) and a playground with some pretty cool equipment. I went on the ...

Post Hurrikan und alles ist Gut

... created out of the buildings of an old industrial factory. There were different rooms with different kinds of music. it turned out to be a great night, but yet again we were late getting into bed.

Saturday we were supposed to go on an excursion to see Burg Linn (a castle) but unfortunately because of the storm, the trains weren't running.

I will let u know what happened instead in my next email, gotta go and eat some lunch,

Hi guys,
Don"t know if u have heard or not, but Germany is in the middle of a hurricane. 150km winds and severe warnings from the government to stay indoors. It was supposed to hit Essen really hard and we were all sent home from uni early and told to stay indoors. I really wanted to go online today to talk to u all like I said I would. Sorry guys!! I"ve just borrowed Tara"s laptop now. Mum, if u read this, send me a text message when u wake up so I can ...

Mein Fuehrer und meinen Freunden

... t even a dip section here in supermarkets. There is only a MASSIVE cheese section with over 120 different types and an equally MASSIVE cold meat section with all of the Wursts. Keep in mind that the Germans eat both of these things twice a day on bread rolls, breakfast and dinner are often the same ingredients... It was a great dinner and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Tuesday I went to school, did some grocery shopping, did my ...

Smelling good

... aura was felt throughout the pews in this impressive church until the clock struck 7pm and the caretakers and fellow priests directed everyone to leave with haste. I can understand if you usher out the tourists taking photos but to kick people that are on their knees and in the middle of prayer is a bit much. Sunset on the Rhine took us passed some old buildings and we discussed the world's problems and some of our own over some local Kolsch brew.
