    My first day!

A travel blog entry by isabellemccabe on Apr 03, 2015

Yesterday was a long long day! Although it would have been longer and harder for everyone else as they had a crossing to contend with! After a lovely few days in devon visiting family I was finally on my way. After a while in the que to get on the ship, me and Beth who I had met previously on Facebook were told to help pack down all the shops as we are having a refit, it took us all day! We went ...

    Typical Day

... go straight to sleep by 10 because I'm so crazy tired. This week has proven to be a challenge so far, but I think it's been good for the kids to get to know that I'm going to stick to what I say and that I can't be walked all over. Tschüß! -A. ...

Let's hope they don't fight bedtime too much! I'll keep you posted though. :] Tschüß! -A. ...

A travel blog entry by a_payne on Mar 22, 2015

So, I got to go to the fischmarkt (fish market) today! This is extremely famous in Hamburg and I'm really happy I got to go on the first weekend I was here. Jutta left town Saturday, so it was just Rüdiger, the kids and I. Since the market opens up so early, we had to get up at 5:30 and left a little after 6. It was already packed by the time we got there, but it was really awesome (and cold!). Of course there is a lot of fish sold there, but there were also ...

... contacts and said our goodbyes. It took me a while but eventually I got dressed and then skype with mum. My stomach was still a bit sensitive so I didn't really feel like anything to eat until about 2pm so I said goodbye to mum and went and found a bratwurst sausage for lunch. Yes, finally I had had a bratwurst in Germany. I wasn't game to try the curry wurst though. A vegan icecream later (I accidentally ordered the soy vanilla ice cream) and I was feeling much better. ...
