The other students stayed at the hotel to try to connect to the patchy wifi. Today we are off to Venice for a city tour, glass blowing demo. and, most importantly, a gondola ...
... The main reason we went was to see all the display details and interior design that was done by Carlo Scarpa. Although I can't complain at all about Verona I do have to rank it my #6th favorite city out of 6. After sketching at the museum, we got back on the bus and drove to Vicenza.

... theatre which was impressive but there was a distinct lack of information about the place. We also visited the medieval castle, which was OK although a lot of it had been rebuilt and the paintings and armoury on display weren't anything special. The many, many employees also seemed to follow you around which was a bit disconcerting.
We're now relaxing at the hotel and getting ready to go out for a meal. I've got high hopes based on the quality of lunch!
