    ... a do not disturb sign on the door for 48hrs, that’s a caring front office team! Despite the best
    intentions to make it out to the Black Forest, we failed miserably due to the late nights, so will have to save that for a return visit. We’re actually facing the prospect of arriving in Munich a little beered out…. Oh, and Freiburg is a lovely town btw.

    Werner and I rode from Beaune to Liesberg in 3 hours. It was a short but good ride.

    Overall we had an excellent time, saw some new interesting places, and were very good riding pair.

    ... area. Unfortunately the early morning sun isn't so great for photos, but we discovered that there is even a lake called the Feldsee in the shadows of the hill as well. On the top there is an Aussichtsturm (lookout tower), which has 11 stair levels, one of which holds a museum dedicated to the famous Schwarzwälder Schinken (Black Forest Ham).     ... up steeply behind the church on a section known as the Schöpfungsweg, a trail based on the Christian view of the earth's creation. At the top we got a nice view of the Hasenhorn across the valley and the town below it. From there it was a steady climb through the forest and around the hill into the next valley. As we approached the falls after an hour of hiking, we could already hear them and they were fantastic!
