    ... what it smelled like. The slaves, forced to work in the heat for hours on end, the animals, the blood, feces and bodies. Think about what it sounded like. Animals roaring, people yelling screaming, drums beating. Brutal! After the tour, we had some free time before getting a tour of Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum below.     ... all loose each other ...some shop ...some go this way ..some not ...Orange juice stop at Trevi ...throw some Gin in it please ... Antonio's next for a vino ...**** where is everyone ..there is really just one small lane to the Pantheon ...where are they ???     ... It was another hot day and it was not so easy to keep up the fluids on our two hours walking through the Museum. The large serving of GF Fries that were shoestring cut complete with peel was an addition to the high fibre bulky food I was asking my gut to digest. And the consequences were not that surprising in hind sight. I was deeply concerned when I progressed to a towel and the bathroom rubbish bin beside the bed ( the bedroom bin wouldn't have worked as it was a wire ...

    ... stopped working. I have felt so isolated! Sad isn't it? Our Rome apartment is luxurious. From the street we were not expecting much, but once inside we were surprised by the Bali inspired decor. Travertine tiles throughout, full of cupboards and niches, very comfortable.
