This was a refreshing place to check into and stay at for three nights after a bad experience at a local Days Inn in the area. Would suggest the inn for any time spent in the Bay area, would stay here again on next visit or any future travels. Could only hope that all small inns and hotels were this nice! The rooms are very comfy and clean, the owner/staff are very polite and friendly and helpful! Quiet area and cute buildings.

Duncan talked about some of the history of Yosemite, and the role Yosemite played in the establishment of the National Park system.

His talk was followed by cocktails in the museum lobby, with an opportunity to tour the current exhibit called Houghton Hall: Portrait of an English Country House. Beautiful oil paintings (including Gainsborough ...

... it three times on a boat. No such misfortune befell me, and I was able to visit Alcatraz ... twice. When I came to book my ticket to Alcatraz in April (you have to book early I read, and I was going in July) I was quite excited to learn they offered a night cruise which apparently provides the most information and gives you access to Park Ranger talks. So I booked it and had a wonderful time on it, but after I began to feel that due to the time constraints ...

... caught the ferry back to the pier and then got a taxi to Blazing Saddles for a bike ride across the Golden Gate Bridge. Megan went back to the hotel as she didn't feel like going on the bike ride. It was hard work at points, especially getting up the hill to the bridge but it was worth it. It was lovely leisurely cycling across the bridge. We also went past $4 million houses on the harbour. ...

      Night 22: Golden Gate

Night 22: Golden Gate From Ft. Bragg to Daly City, CA I did not keep track of today's mileage. Today's weather varied wildly. It was in the 100's and sunny along US-101 and in the low 60's and overcast in the city. There were scattered monsoon showers in the area but we only got a couple drops for a couple minutes. I'll keep it brief today if I can. We woke up at the Pomo Campground and broke camp later than we wanted to, but still earlier than the past few days. ...
