    Great little Inn and Suite

This was a refreshing place to check into and stay at for three nights after a bad experience at a local Days Inn in the area. Would suggest the inn for any time spent in the Bay area, would stay here again on next visit or any future travels. Could only hope that all small inns and hotels were this nice! The rooms are very comfy and clean, the owner/staff are very polite and friendly and helpful! Quiet area and cute buildings.

... I wasn't very hungry, but I didn't know when I'd next get a meal, so I had an almost-full English of poached eggs on toast with bacon, plus toast and marmalade and a cup of tea. My plan had been to take in 10 final circuits of the Promenade Deck (with a backpack) to fill in the time before my disembarkation slot. However, the rain was hammering down, much as it had been for most of the night, and much as it continued through until ...

Nice bridge, but China town needs a clean.

... now afford the best tenderloin with all his extra bribes. Probably a made up story but pretty relevant none the less. Carla even got to see one of the locals snorting coke on the sidewalk at no extra expense. How nice. The tour also took us past one of the most interesting financial districts in the world. Not because of the building themselves, but because of what they are built on. During the gold rush of the 1800's this are was actually the town harbour, and when ...

... I thought I would sit in the window so I could watch people in the street as they went past but that was a bit of an error - tacos are messy and I looked a right old state. Anyway, I finished up and wandered back to the hostel. I was really tired and thought I would just grab a shower and get some sleep. Walking through the city as it was getting dark was pretty daunting and I'm not really easily intimidated. I had a huge culture shock... there were homeless and crazy people ...

    Night 22: Golden Gate

Night 22: Golden Gate From Ft. Bragg to Daly City, CA I did not keep track of today's mileage. Today's weather varied wildly. It was in the 100's and sunny along US-101 and in the low 60's and overcast in the city. There were scattered monsoon showers in the area but we only got a couple drops for a couple minutes. I'll keep it brief today if I can. We woke up at the Pomo Campground and broke camp later than we wanted to, but still earlier than the past few days. ...

... and cycled 4 miles out to Fort Point, below the Golden Gate bridge, breath taking scene.

Finally, we found a veggie/vegan restaurant Greens, about 30 mins walk away, on one of the marinas and eat excellent grub watching the sun set by the side of the bridge. We (mainly I) finished with vegan banana cake covered in chocolate sauce with a coconut sorbet.....bliss.
