    Great little Inn and Suite

This was a refreshing place to check into and stay at for three nights after a bad experience at a local Days Inn in the area. Would suggest the inn for any time spent in the Bay area, would stay here again on next visit or any future travels. Could only hope that all small inns and hotels were this nice! The rooms are very comfy and clean, the owner/staff are very polite and friendly and helpful! Quiet area and cute buildings.

    Night 22: Golden Gate

Night 22: Golden Gate From Ft. Bragg to Daly City, CA I did not keep track of today's mileage. Today's weather varied wildly. It was in the 100's and sunny along US-101 and in the low 60's and overcast in the city. There were scattered monsoon showers in the area but we only got a couple drops for a couple minutes. I'll keep it brief today if I can. We woke up at the Pomo Campground and broke camp later than we wanted to, but still earlier than the past few days. ...

So after we'd both had some epic days of transit, we arrived in the US of A. I already found a few things different to SA, like all the American accents. Plus I could now flush my toilet paper, and didn't have to try and speak spanish. But I still, found myself speaking some bad Espanol. My first stop was San Francisco, and I've found a city I could definately live in. There was something classic about ...

... had a large desert! Ffaye had cheesecake and Chris carrot cake, delicious. On our final full day we headed to Chinatown in the morning, this was probably the most authentic china town since Singapore, full of shops and restaurants. We stopped for a mid morning coffee on the way back into the city, sitting in the sun we watched the world go by. It was then time to catch the famous San Francisco cable car from Union Square to Lombard Street. We decided to hang ...

Taxi driver with road rage, checked in, bags dropped, patted down, and security cleared. We've got a 10 minute delay, but should be Blighty bound by 19:55. We're all sitting in departures, near our gate, having conversations over Facebook ;O) The airport isn't very busy, or at least it doesn’t seem like it in this little corner. It is silent. There is a ...

... of wine and plan tomorrow's adventures. There, we shared some great conversations with a great couple from Phoenix, Arizona -- they were so much fun!

Still time after that to head out on the cable cars once again to Chinatown, where we grabbed a great meal at San Fran's oldest Chinese restaurant, the Four Season. Had to walk/climb a couple of wheezy steep blocks to head back by cable car to Fisherman's Wharf for another stroll back to the hotel. What a ...
