It is another first for Gin and I since coming to Palm Sprngs, rain! Though it did once rain here it lasted only 3 minutes and barely made the ground wet. This time, what we are now receiving.witnessing here is on a pretty significant level: heavy rainfall and even thunderstorms. As I write this it has been raining since 3am, or 3 1/2 hours so far. 50 mm of rain ...
Travel day today; we did not think we had far to travel but it still took us the majority of the day.
We were not sad to see the back of our car park home, which, despite being free, was not too enjoyable and it was noisy all night, so we are pretty tired.
Today we are heading for Palm Springs about 3 hours from San Diego.

... Hot Chili Peppers which were awesome apparently. I am just happy that I have at least seen the Red Hot Chilli Peppers before at Shoreline in San Francisco. Brad and Caleb drove from the festival back to LA that night and stayed in a cheap LAX hotel rather than face Monday morning LA traffic
We asked Zach at the end of the festival who is favourite band was and without hesitation he said 'The Wombats' and launched into their song "Jump into the Fog'. Perfect :)

dog fight stories we headed out for our last night in Gary before we
headed to LA. We decided as it was supposed to be dry we'd head back
to the hotsprings and just chill.
And chill is just what we did - we chilled our proverbials off! A combination of thin summer blankets which were wet (what Gary leaks?) and freezing temperatures saw us heading very early doors to the metropolis of LA!
