All in all...though interlaken is a tourist trap, go because its beauty can hardly be matched by anywhere in the world and canyoning was one of the most amazing experiences!

Our brand new renal car broke down just as we passed through Geneva. We where on the for 4 1/2 before a tow truck came and got us. I'm not kidding. Budget had the worst customer service people answering their phones. So it's off to Italy tomorrow. Chris likes the metaphor of reaching our highest altitude on the middle day of the trip and knowing it's all downhill from here...sort of. Lots of more exciting things to see as we enter the second half of our journey.

Zurich will go down as being my least favourite European destination so far... and maybe trip as well. I haven't liked it at all... it's not as beautiful as I was expecting, the people are NOT friendly, it's more of a holiday resort (which I detest), the costs are near robbery and there is very little to do.
