    Guest blogger Bill here.

Today was our first full day in Wengen. We got up at a reasonable time, had a traditional breakfast, and went looking for trouble. We took a cogwheel train down to Lauterbrunnen, to hop on our first cable car. We didn't realize it was standing room only. But it went well, and we got to the station, to board another small train to Murren.

    ... Switzerland.

We arrived in Stetchelberg around 6:00. The view coming into the Lauterbrunner Valley was incredible. It had snowed last night and this morning. Murren got about 6 inches of snow but it didn't last in town. The Alps were covered in snow. We lucked out that the clouds lifted for our arrival. Check out the photos.

This morning we took a train, cable car and another train up to Murren. It is a small car free town on the edge of a cliff with views of the Eiger right outside of our hotel. We are staying in the Eiger Guesthouse, a cute 12 room B&B. We got here around noon, so we had time for ...
