... Murren is village and ski resort 2000ft above the valley floor that was founded in 1384. We found our apartment which we booked yesterday via email on my phone. Bought groceries for 2 days in Interlaken and brought them up for meals. Amazing days in the Swiss Alps
... snow and reaches up to 80km/hr. She really enjoyed it and had a huge buzz on when she got back down. We checked out the Ice Palace – a big tunnel carved through the Glacier itself which has a bunch of wee alcoves containing ice carvings. Then finally we went out onto the Plateau for more views and to watch incredibly stupid people cross barriers and walk on slippery ice to the edge of 1000m drops just to get a photo (sadly none of them actually fell off)

Our Escape
... superior suite. It was a rather large suite with 2 nice bathrooms, a bedroom and a large living area. The suite was on the top floor with a large balcony, and the view from the balcony was incredible. The suite was in the corner of the building and had amazing views on 3 sides.
- After wandering around the small, quaint (and car-less) village of Murren, we headed back to our hotel for a very nice dinner on the terrace.

Through Switzerland!
... all of the process we saw. We did get to watch the robot in the cheese cellar turn several wheels of Gruyere over, pretty cool automated system. We got samples of 6 month-, 8 month- and 10 month-aged cheese. We both like our cheese smellier and older :).
We sat at their little restaurant and ordered the specialties, onion soup and potato soup with veggies. They were good, but not out-of-this-world.

In our search for Switzerland accommodations in the off season, we found that Gimmelwald (our first thought) wasn't going to work for us. Thankfully, we found an establishment in Murren, Switzerland that was not only highly rated, it was also open at the time we were going to be there; a definite bonus to tired train travelers.
