Today was our first full day in Wengen. We got up at a reasonable time, had a traditional breakfast, and went looking for trouble. We took a cogwheel train down to Lauterbrunnen, to hop on our first cable car. We didn't realize it was standing room only. But it went well, and we got to the station, to board another small train to Murren.
This is the town that really started ...
Woke up leisurely today and we packed our stuff and drove about 3 hours up to mürren - it's in the Swiss alps! Where all the ski fiends are in the winter! It's so awesome up here, bit cold though, even though it's summer it's not very warm up here, we are so high up. It's a bit more than 1654m high!! We had to catch a gondola up to the top as cars can not drive up the mountains, ...

... killed by the sport! They jump about 5 times in a day here...they had the best of all situations...they could take a tram, then a train to the Winteregg stop. They then took a trail to the edge of the cliff, geared up and took off flying...about 30 seconds later they are landing in the meadows below ready to go again...Dar got a couple of pictures of them.
We had lunch, bought Swiss watches and knives, trinkets from Switzerland ...
... steak with mushroom sauce, potatoes au gratin and broccoli...and chocolate mousse!
To top the night off, we had a concert from two local guys, one playing the accordion and the other playing the alpine horn! It was wonderful...even did the chicken dance!
Lovin Murren...hope the weather will hold...pray hard!
Love ya all,
