Three countries in one day!

A travel blog entry by missliz on Jan 29, 2015

... schnitzel that was again disappointing. Funny how you travel to their origin and they are just not the same as Newcastle's schnitzels. We have told everyone they need to come and have one of ours! And then a mousse to finish. We have an incredibly long and early day tomorrow to get to Venice so we are all going to bed pretty early. Today was a bit of a short day but we still did a fair bit. 3 countries in 1 day is not too bad!! Good night all and will talk tomorrow ...

... some people can't even find a seat, it's that packed. The afternoon is becoming evening and we are happy enough to make our way back across Munich to our apartment and call it a day, we have an early off in the morning. Last post we were heading to Munich but now we are in Tirol, this might seem a bit strange but with our package for the next week wad had to pick our rental up in Munich, about a 4hr detour but considering the car was free it was worth it.

Getting the car we were on the road and tearing our way along the autobahn at a great pace, flying past small towns we were in Austria soon enough and once past Innsbruck new we didn't have far to go.
Arriving at the hotel we were ...

Day 286 4 hrs, 4.4 kms I do stop in a fairly large city on the way. I do want to get a better feel for this unique Italian-Austrian region. It feels strange to get off a train and immediately find myself in a town--almost feels like I'm cheating or something! It also feels strange to walk block after block, and the city just continues and continues... I've gotten used to villages that take 10 to 15 minutes to cross. Finally ...
