As forecast, the weather today is very wet. We went out for a walk after breakfast but soon had to take shelter in a rotunda to get out of the rain. While there we chatted briefly with fellow rotunda shelterers from Chicago in America. They were lovely people so the time spent there passed quickly enough. As soon as the rain abated we set out walking again, but didn't go far. We stopped for tea/coffee at the ...

After a leisurely breakfast at the Antiq Palace we went out walking again, this time in a different direction. We ended up back down near the water, where we had lunch at a Japanese tapas cafe. As a final act of lunacy we utilised the chairlift located right next to our chalet to get some stunning photos over lake ...

Food is interesting lots of cured meats like sausages and salami and proscuttio served as an appetiser . I had trout which was lovely . Dessert was Bled Cake - Similar to custard square but with a layer of meringue as well. Apparently all the countries around make it slightly differently. Originally from Austria. ...

Our main reason for visiting Slovenia, was to visit Lake Bled, as Sanjiv and Rebecca had raved about it on returning from their honeymoon. While doing our research, we found that next to Bled, there was a larger and lesser known Lake Bohinj - which was also worth a visit. Bargain - two lakes in one visit!
