... but still expensive (this is the Swiss Alps after all..) Murren is an easy 1km walk from Interlaken Ost - the main train station which is close to the centre of Interlaken. It's not as close to the cute shops but has a good Irish Pub (The Three Tells) that just opened 3 weeks ago and has great food and athmosphere.
