... families take their kids into the nature parks and climb on rocks, walk along paths, etc. The parks that we do find are definitely old but have such great character to them and really play to the kids imagination. Ryen found a horse that she just wouldn't get off on and Reed spent most of her time "rock climbing".

... drove on to see if we could find the church for the wedding on Saturday. We did. We didn't know where Rosie was living to try to visit her as we didn't have the papers with us in the car. So it was just a drive by (1.5 hours from home). Today, we went into Thun to the Thuner Fasnacht – a festival and parade to chase away Winter. It was excellent and unlike anything we have in Australia. There were 55 entries in the parade including big bands/marching bands dressed up in an array of fantastic/scary outfits and they frolicked along the street playing to a big loud beat. ... knows how many years. There is a toilet and shower block so I’m hoping I don’t need to get up for a dump in the middle of the night.

Dinner tonight was roast pork with vegetables, then a donut filled with chocolate, probably the best meal of the tour so far.

After 4 nights in Grindelwald we had worked out that the small town of Thun (an hour from there) had a direct 7:54am train to Milan. So we did a one night stopover in Thun, a pretty little town with the typical swiss bridges we had seen in Lucern on a previous holiday.

It was a small town so it didn't take long to explore, but the hightlight was definitely a small chocolate/coffee ...
