... in the picture. There were many Kolsch brauhauses around and we stopped for lunch at Brauhaus Sion. People were dressed up everywhere like it was Halloween and we later discovered it was a carnival. ... airport and I felt at ease until I got inside the airport, the plan was to catch a train into Dusseldorf HBF but finding the train station at the airport was a challenge due to me getting confused with the signs around the airport, I think it was me rather than the poor signage. ... complimentary happy hour and breakfast, but it didn't happen. We crossed the bridge into town to grocery shop, but the Hyatt concierge, Amir, sadly sent us on about a 5 km hike to the grocery store business office headquarters rather than the actual store. ... up. There are churches everywhere, so we visited one we saw from the train and then another hidden one, which turned out to be an Italian Catholic Church. All very pretty with tons of history from medieval days forward. The first one had pictures showing the damage it sustained during WWII. Then we walked to the huge Cologne Cathedral and went inside.
