... that the owners are taking a break after a busy time with October Fest, Wine Fests etc... and are likely on vacation in Spain (one of the Germans favourite vacation spots). Of course they will be back in time for the run-up to Christmas, another very busy time.

... back in Cologne. It is nice to be feel normal, have energy, not want to take a nap every 30, we slept in a little and then headed to town for breakfast. We asked for an American breakfast (snobs?) and she sent us to a hotel about a block away. Early this morning, about 4.30, we sailed passed Frankfurt and onto Cologne, berthing at about 1pm. We opted for the city walking tour which was about 1.5 hour duration. We learnt about the history of Cologne, or Koln as it is called in Germany. With a population of 1 million, it's the 4th biggest city in Germany (behind Berlin, Hamberg, Munich). We are staying in Amsterdam tonight at the Hampshire Hotel. Our train went via Cologne and we were able to go out from the station and see the massive Cologne Cathedral.
