More in hope than anticipation ...

Thanks to the lovely @plaingoldband wending her way through America I was inspired to start this blog. The title is apposite. I love home, I love the sun streaming through the east window in the morning, I love the birds flitting across the window from hedgerow to hedgerow unconcerned by my presence. I love having the radio burbling in the background and being safe, secure and settled. But I have itchy feet. They have had a few random ...

... Luckily Dad was able to just manage to see and we got to Eastwood Retail Park. We found an IKEA there and went inside for some Swedish meatballs, fish & chips, and Mac & cheese for lunch - very good. We then went into the kids playground whilst Dad went for a wander.

Oh, the other good thing, IKEA has free WiFi and we managed to work out that the address was #34 not #31. Fail Mum!

Anyway, we picked up Mum ...

    Return of the EJCP

Today I woke up really late.

Which would have been fine, if I then didn't have to rush to get out before checkout!

Then I walked to a coffee shop and sat there for what was, no kidding, 4 hours.

I sat, read, listened to music, ate a Welsh Cake thing, and eveuntually Cate turned up.

We had a lovely chat about travel and life and everything. I'm so glad I got to catch her while I was in Cardiff.

    But that time ...
