    ... today had its hottest July day ever and Venice was stifling by the time I arrived mid-morning. So today’s travel dragging suitcases around with a train change in Verona was very uncomfortable. Even Innsbruck which is surrounded by mountains was over 30c when I arrived this afternoon.
