At the lake there was a pontoon which was nice to walk out onto, the water was amazingly clear in the lake you could see right to the bottom. There was also a little swimming pool which was part of the lake but with steps down to it - I cant believe people actually swim in there!! It was iced over at the sides which shows how cold it is. Inside, we were also a little disappointed – the restaurant really overtook the interior and limited the capacity for imagining the house as it would have been for Hitler, although a few photographs from the days he spent in the retreat hung on the walls around the dining area.
