The two weeks with H & J helped enormously getting me through what I knew would be difficult times, my first Christmas and New Year without Cate, They have really been fantastic in their support and hospitality, but it's time for them to have time to themselves and for me to have solitude to contemplate the future.

This gave us time to put our walking boots in the locker at the station and head up on the train with just the ski equipment.
We got off at Wengen and ...

... that they had gone through ice caves! I was jealous but still happy with our day at the same time. Given the chance to choose again, I'd still pick our hike.

Dinner was chicken and veggies. Really good again! After dinner we had one drink in the bar and crashed early. Neither of us could stay awake after our long day of hiking.
