After an early night we had an early-ish start. There was a prayer meeting at 7.10 and this was followed by breakfast at 7.25. We both made it down and collected our ski passes before collecting our equipment and heading out to the station at 8.00. The hotel has a locker at the station so we left our walking boots there before getting on the train for Wengen. ... sitting right up on a thin peak of a mighty high mountain. Its only when you realize how thin this mountain peak is that one wonders how they ever got the railway tunnel together with all the other tunnels built into such a small tiny space.
I head off along what seems a mighty long and rather dark tunnel in search of the viewpoints. It’s rather cold in here and not a single person is to be seen. It somehow has a bit of a scary feeling about it!!
