... made it to the Peter und Paul's, I was amazed at the lovely cabins made for the animals - SO beautifully made - they really look after their animals here! I guess if they don't, they won't be there by the end of winter! I saw a few animals I've not seen before - Alpensteinbock have interesting horns - really thick and chunky, and other varieties of deer. They give the animals lots of space, so they are not stressed at all - it's a reserve that's been put aside for ...

Switerland - what a contrast to England! Coming in to land on the plane at night, the little villages and towns looked like little spider webs of light amongst areas of black (which must have been the mountains) with connecting threads of light, kind of joining them together - so picturesque!

I was so excited to see Yves waiting for me at the airport (thanks Yves!!) and it was a jolt to realise that I can't communicate with most of the ...

        ... good.

At about 5, we went shopping and then back to a campsite directly at the water. It was expensive, the guy was friendly but strange, and the showers were lukewarm. Which meant, Stef froze to death and for me it was almost warming. The night was surprisingly warm and we slept like babies (you can totally sleep 10 hours after 75+ km of cycling with a 26 kg bike)

So, the journey starts. ( And Jan is writing this blogpost because...because) (because stef is working)
We knew we still had some gear to pack so we went to bed early (don't believe me) which resulted in an early start (11 am) the next morning. From the beginning, it was clear, that the ascent to the top of Julier pass will be the hardest uphill climb on our whole trip. It's about 620 m above Champfèr and ...
